Ratings: ABC’s CMA Music Festival Falls 37 Percent, Hits Lowest Note

Don’t feel too bad for dropping 17 percent week over week, CBS drama “Zoo” — after all, ABC’s CMA Music Festival fell 37 percent from last year’s key 18-49 demo rating.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. “America’s Got Talent” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.1/8 and 10 million viewers. “Hollywood Game Night” at 10 received a 1.2/4 and 4.4 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.2/4 and third in viewers with 5.2 million. The CMA Fest special was the only show on the network’s schedule, falling to its lowest-ever demo number from 8-11.

CBS and Telemundo tied for third in ratings, both with a 0.8/3. CBS was second in total viewers with 6 million; Telemundo was fifth with 1.8 million.

For CBS, in-between reruns, “Zoo” at 9 had a 1.0/3 and 5.9 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and fourth in viewers with 1.9 million.

Fox was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and sixth in viewers with 1.7 million. “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” at 8 got a 0.6/2 and 2.2 million viewers.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 999,000, airing only repeats.
