Ratings: NASCAR Pushes Fox to a Win; ‘Celeb Apprentice’ Ties Series Low

The season finale of CBS's "The Amazing Race" ticks down, and ABC's "Red Widow" season ender climbs

Overrun from NASCAR racing took the night's top ratings on Sunday night, pushing Fox to a ratings win, while the season finale of CBS's "The Amazing Race" ticked down and ABC's "Red Widow" climbed for its season ender, according to preliminary numbers.

Fox took first place in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic with a 2.1 rating/6 share and second in total viewers with 5.8 million. The NASCAR overrun at 7 p.m. drew the evening's best demo performance with a 2.3/7 and 7.6 million total viewers. "The Simpsons," which started at 8:25, pulled a 1.7/5 with 4 million total viewers. "Bob's Burgers" at 9 had a a 2.0/5 with 4.4 million total viewers, while "Family Guy" at 9:30 had a 2.1/5 with 4.6 million total viewers. "American Dad" at 10 posted a 2.1/6 and took 5.1 million total viewers.

CBS was second place in ratings and first in total viewers with a 1.9/5 and 9.4 million. "60 Minutes" at 7 p.m. slid 20 percent from last week to a 1.2/4 but had the night's largest audience, with 10.5 million total viewers. The season finale of "The Amazing Race" at 8 ticked down 4 percent from last week and dropped 15 percent from last spring's finale, pulling a 2.3/6 and attracting 8.9 million total viewers.The season finale of "The Mentalist" at 10 was up 6 percent to a 1.7/5 but down 32 percent from last May's finale, taking a 1.7/5 and drawing 9.2 million total viewers.

ABC was third in ratings and total viewers with a 1.6/5 and just under 5.8 million total viewers. "America's Funniest Home Videos" at 7 had a 1.5/5 and 5.9 million total viewers, while "Once Upon a Time" the following hour climbed 10 percent for a 2.2/6 and had 7.4 million total viewers. "Revenge" ticked up to a 1.8/5 and drew 6.2 million total viewers, while the season finale of the freshman drama "Red Widow" jumped 29 percent for a 0.9/2 and took 3.5 million total viewers.

NBC was fourth in ratings and total viewers with a 1.2/3 and 4 million. Following a repeat of "The Voice" at 7, "The Celebrity Apprentice" dropped 13 percent to tie a series low for a celebrity edition, posting a 1.4/4 and taking 4.7 million total viewers.
