Ratings: ‘MasterChef’ Finally Finds the Right Ingredients

Fox’s foodie reality up 10% over last week; ABC wins the night on the backs of “The Bachelorette” and “Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition”

Fox's "MasterChef," which saw last month's season two premiere decline from last season's maiden episode, rebounded to tie for first on Monday night.

However, ABC took the night overall in the adults 18-49 demographic thanks to the one-two reality TV punch of "The Bachelorette" and "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition," according to preliminary numbers.

"MasterChef," at 9 p.m., boasted a 10 percent gain over last week's numbers, grabbing a 2.2 rating/6 share in the demo and 4.9 million total viewers.

That was enough to put it in a first-place tie with ABC's "The Bachelorette," which took a 2.2/7 in the demo 7.5 million total viewers from 8-10. ABC solidified its dominance of the evening with "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" the following hour, which took the night's third-highest numbers of the night with a 2.0/5 in the demo and 5.7 million total viewers. (Fox ran a "MasterChef" repeat at 8.)

NBC began the evening with an "America's Got Talent" repeat at 8 p.m., followed by "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" the following hour. which took a 1.1/3 in the demo and 5.1 million total viewers. "Law & Order: Los Angeles" finished the night at 10 with a 1.3/4 in the demo and 6 million total viewers.

CBS ran repeats throughout the evening.
