CBS' "Big Brother" jumped 14 percent to take the night's top numbers and push the network to an overall win for the night, while Fox's "Buried Treasure" failed to improve on last week's disappointing series premiere performance, according to preliminary numbers.
"Big Brother," on CBS at 8 p.m., posted a 3.2 rating/10 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, with 8.2 million total viewers.Through the network ran repeats for the rest of the evening, that was enough to easily hand CBS an overall win, with an average 2.0/6 in the demo an average 6.9 million total viewers.
At NBC, "America's Got Talent" at 9 slipped 10 percent from last week, with a 2.6/7 in the demo and 10.7 million total viewers. (Despite the slip in the ratings, "Talent" still won its hour, and ended up the evening's most-watched program.) "Minute to Win It" the preceding hour posted a 1.4/4 in the demo and 5.5 million total viewers. The network closed the night with a "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" repeat.
Fox filled its primetime roster with a new episode of "Buried Treasure" at 8 and a repeat the following hour; both matched last week's soft premiere numbers with a 1.0/3 in the demo and 3.2 million total viewers, tying for 12th place for the night.
ABC ran repeats throughout the night, with the exception of "Primetime Nightline," which closed out the night at 10 with a 1.5/4 in the demo and 4.3 million total viewers.
