Ratings: ‘Big Brother’ Wins Night Despite 18% Dip

On another evening marked by declines, “Expedition Impossible” also takes a significant hit

CBS' "Big Brother" was the top-rated show Thursday night, even with a significant drop from last week's season premiere, according to preliminary numbers.

With the summer slump in effect and most original programming taking a hit in the ratings, "Big Brother" at 9 p.m. drew a 2.3 rating/7 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, down 18 percent versus last week, and 6.4 million total viewers. CBS' primetime roster otherwise consisted of repeats.
