Ratings: ‘Blood & Oil’ Plugs Leak, Stays Even

Fellow ABC freshman drama “Quantico” also steady week over week

Both of ABC’s freshman dramas were even week over week in the Sunday night ratings.

“Blood & Oil” was steady with a 0.9 rating in the advertiser coveted adults 18-49 demographic, while also attracting 3.5 million viewers, according to preliminary Nielsen estimates. This marks the first time since the show’s premiere in September that it has not declined week over week. “Quanitco” was also even with last week, netting a 1.6 in the key demo and 5.2 million viewers.

NBC won the night thanks to Sunday Night Football. The network averaged a 6.0 rating and 17 million viewers. “Football Night in America Part 1” got a 2.0 and 6.9 million viewers at 7 p.m. “Part 2” got a 2.8 and 8.5 million viewers at 7:30. “Part 3” got a 5.6 and 15.9 million viewers at 8. And Sunday Night Football scored a 7.5 and 20.9 million viewers at 8:30.

CBS was second, nabbing a 2.7 rating and 13.2 million viewers. At 8 p.m. “60 Minutes” got a 2.3 and 13.5 million viewers. “Madam Secretary” followed at 9 with a 1.1 rating and 9.1 million viewers. “The Good Wife” closed out the night for the network at 10 with a 1.0 and 7.4 million viewers.

Fox finished third in the key demo with a 1.3 but fourth in total viewers with 3.1 million. “The Simpsons” got a 1.6 and 3.6 million viewers at 8 p.m. “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” got a 1.2 and 2.6 million at 8:30. “Bob’s Burgers” took a 1.0 and 2.2 million at 9. “Last Man on Earth” got a 1.1 and 2.3 million viewers at 9:30.

ABC finished fourth in the key demo with a 1.2 but third in total viewers with 4.7 million. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” aired at 7 p.m., netting a 0.8 and 5 million viewers. “Once Upon a Time” got a 1.6 and 4.9 million viewers at 8. “Blood & Oil” aired at 9, followed by “Quantico” at 10.

Univision finished in fifth with a 0.7 and 1.9 million viewers.

Telemundo finished in sixth with a 0.3 and 841,000 viewers.
