Ratings: CBS Edged by Univision for First Place in Key Demo as ‘Under the Dome’ Drops

ABC’s “Astronaut Wives Club” rises 25 percent from last week

Univision finished posted a rare first-place finish in the ratings on Thursday thanks to Latino pop culture awards show “Premios Juventud.”

The Spanish-language network edged out CBS atop viewers 18-49; CBS was still first in total viewers.

CBS’ “Under the Dome” dropped 18 percent from last week in the main demo. For ABC, “Astronaut Wives Club” rose 25 percent from the prior Thursday.

Univision was first in ratings with a 1.5 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, but fourth in total viewers with an average of 3.3 million, according to preliminary numbers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 1.4/5 and first in viewers with 5.8 million. Following reruns, “Big Brother” at 8 p.m. had a 2.0/7 and 6 million viewers. “Under the Dome” at 10 got a 0.9/3 and 4.8 million viewers.

NBC was third in ratings with a 1.0/4 and second in viewers with 4.9 million. At 8 p.m., “Food Fighters” received a 0.9/4 and 3.8 million viewers. The “Dateline Mystery” premiere at 9 p.m. posted a 1.1/4 and 5.4 million viewers.

ABC and Fox tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 0.8/3. ABC was third in total viewers with 3.8 million; Fox was fifth with 2.6 million.

For ABC, “Astronaut Wives Club” received a 1.0/4 and 4.5 million viewers at 8 p.m. “Mistresses” at 9 had a 0.8/3 and 3.3 million viewers. “Rookie Blue” at 10 got a 0.7/3 and 3.6 million viewers.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.3 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 781,000. “Beauty & the Beast” at 8 p.m. received a 0.3/1 and 1 million viewers. At 9, “Dates” had a 0.1/1 and 549,000 viewers. A second episode at 9:30 got a 0.1/0 and 496,000 viewers.
