“Big Brother” was big enough to withhold another Sunday ratings win from ABC. The reality competition carried CBS to an outright victory last night, when NBC kept Fox out of third place.

There were some local-market preemptions last night to accomodate NFL preseason football.

At 7 p.m., “60 Minutes” had a 0.8/4 and 7.8 million viewers. At 8, “Big Brother” earned a 1.8/7 and 6.4 million viewers. “Candy Crush” at 9 got a 0.5/2 and 2.4 million viewers. A rerun followed.
