Ratings: CBS Wins Night With Masters Tourney; ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Up; ‘Amazing Race’ Down

"60 Minutes" surges on the back of the Masters tournament

The Masters golf tournament helped push CBS to an overall win on Sunday night, despite a significant drop for the network's "The Amazing Race," while NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" was up over last week, according to preliminary numbers.

While CBS's numbers are approximate due to the nature of live sports, the network currently holds first place in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic with a 2.6 rating/7 share and in total viewers with 12.4 million. Overrun from the Masters at 7 p.m. drew the night's highest ratings with a 4.1/13, as well as the night's largest audience with 18 million total viewers. The tournament gave a big boost to "60 Minutes" the following hour. It surged 71 percent over last week for a 2.4/7 and drew 12.1 million total viewers. No such luck for "The Amazing Race" at 9, which slid 17 percent from its last original three weeks ago to a 2.0/5 and had 9.6 million total viewers. "The Good Wife" the following hour drew a 1.7/5 and took 10 million total viewers.

Fox took second place in the demo and fourth in total viewers with a 1.6/5 and 3.5 million. The network suffered declines with its original episodes throughout the evening. Following a "Bob's Burgers" repeat at 7, "The Cleveland Show" at 7:30 dropped 15 percent from its last original three weeks ago to a 1.1/3 and drew 2.4 million total viewers. "The Simpsons" also returned from four weeks off at 8, dropping 18 percent to a 1.8/5 and taking 4 million total viewers. A new "Bob's Burgers" dropped slightly from its last original three weeks ago, posting a 1.6/4 with 3.4 million total viewers, while "Family Guy" at 9 dropped off 8 percent for a 2.4/6 and took five million total viewers. "American Dad" at 9:30 slipped 13 percent to a 2.0/5 and had 4.1 million total viewers.

NBC was third in ratings and second in total viewers with a 1.4/4 and 4.5 million. Following a repeat of "The Voice," "The Celebrity Apprentice" at 9 climbed 21 percent from last week, taking a 1.7/4 and 5.2 million total viewers.

ABC was in a virtual tie for fourth with Univision in the demo, drawing a 0.9/2 compared to Univision's 0.9/3, and was third in total viewers with 3.9 million. The network aired repeats aside from the "Once Upon a Time" clip show, "The Price of Magic" at 8, which posted a 1.3/4 with 5 million total viewers.
