The Season 3 finale of "Duck Dynasty" smashed its own records Wednesday night, drawing 9.6 million total viewers, A&E said Thursday.
Of those 9.6 million, 5.5 million of them were in the advertiser-cherished 18-49 demographic.

To put those numbers in perspective, the Season 2 finale of "Duck Dynasty" — which at that time was the most-watched and highest-rated telecast in A&E's history — drew 6.5 million total viewers, with 3.9 million of them in the demo. (The Season 3 premiere in February drew 8.6 million total viewers.)
Overall, the third season of "Duck Dynasty" improved vastly over Season 2, averaging 8.4 million total viewers (a 95 percent jump over last season) and 4.8 million in the demo, a 92 percent leap over last season.
