Ratings: ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Girls’ Hit Series Highs

"Game of Thrones" up 38 percent over last season's finale

HBO's "Game of Thrones" and "Girls" scored series-high ratings Sunday, with "Game of Thrones" second season finale beating its first one by 38 percent.

"Thrones" had 4.2 million viewers at 9 p.m., up from 3 million for the previous season finale. Another 910,000 viewers tuning in for the 11:10 replay brought its total audience to 5.1 million.

"Girls" hit 1.1 million viewers at 10:40, and 1.2 million total including viewers who watched a 12:50 re-airing.

"Veep," at 10:10, had 1.2 million viewers, its second-highest number for a first-time airing. It added 235,000 viewers at 12:20 for a total 1.4 million viewers.
