Ratings: MLB All-Star Game Gives Win to Fox

ABC's "Trust Us With Your Life" gets off to a rough start

The 2012 MLB All-Star Game knocked it out of the park for Fox Tuesday night, handing the network a ratings and total viewership win, according to preliminary numbers.

Getty ImagesThough final ratings for the game will be released later Wednesday, Fox — which ran the game throughout its primetime slate — currently holds the top spot in both the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic with a 2.9 rating/9 share, and in total viewers with 10 million.

NBC drew second place in ratings and total viewers with an average 2.2/7 and 8.4 million. Its primetime slate grew across the board, starting with "America's Got Talent" at 8 p.m., which jumped 17 percent for a 2.7/8 and drew 10.4 million total viewers. "Love in the Wild" at 10 grew 8 percent from last week with a 1.3/4 and 4.4 million total viewers.

ABC came in a distant third in ratings with an average 1.3/4 and fourth in total viewers with 4.4 million total viewers. "Wipeout" at 8 was down 22 percent from last week with a 1.4/5, tying with its lowest rating to date, and drew 4.6 million total viewers. The new offering "Trust Us With Your Life" at 9 didn't fare any better, posting a 1.1/3 — a 42 percent drop from last June's premiere of "101 Ways to Leave a Game Show" — and received 3.2 million total viewers. Following the time-period premiere of "Trust Us With Your Life" at 8:30 — which also posted a 1.1/3 — the premiere of "ABC News: N.Y. Med" at 10 posted a 1.2/3, up 20 percent from this June's premiere of "Final Witness," and drew 5.4 million total viewers.

CBS, which ran repeats throughout the evening, drew fourth place in ratings and third in total viewers with a 1.1/3 and 6.5 million total viewers.
