Ratings: MLB All-Star Game a Win for American League – and Fox

NBC comes in second

Sorry, "America's Got Talent" — America's also got baseball.

Due to the nature of live sporting events, the Fox's numbers are not yet final. But according to preliminary numbers, Fox was first in ratings with a 2.9 rating/9 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in total viewers with an average of 10.3 million. The network broadcast the "2013 MLB All-Star Game," beginning at 8 p.m. The game won each time slot in which it aired.

NBC was second in ratings with a 2.0/6 and second in total viewers with 7.9 million. A two-hour "America's Got Talent" beginning at 9 earned a 2.5/7 and 9.8 million viewers.

Univision was third in ratings with a 1.6/5 and third in total viewers with 4.0 million viewers.

ABC and CBS tied for fourth in ratings, both earning a 1.0/3.  CBS was second in total viewers with 6.5 million, airing entirely repeats. ABC was third in viewers with 3.3 million.

ABC aired a two-hour "Extreme Weight Loss" at 8, which got a 1.1/3 and 3.5 million viewers.

The CW was sixth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and total viewers with 1.9 million. A "Whose Line Is it Anyway?" premiere at 8 earned a 1.1/4 and 2.9 million viewers. A special "Whose Line" at 8:30 earned the same ratings and 3 million viewers. The premiere of "Perfect Score" at 9 earned a 0.4/1 and 982,000 total viewers. A special of the same series at 9:30 earned a 0.3/1 and 801,000 viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.6/2 and total viewers with 1.3 million viewers.
