Ratings: ‘Ready for Love’ Premieres Soft; ‘NCIS’ Hits Season Low

"The Voice" dips slightly from last Tuesday

Despite a soft premiere for the dating reality show "Ready for Love" and a ratings dip for the hit singing competition "The Voice," NBC took a ratings win Tuesday night, while CBS's "NCIS" slid to a season low, according to preliminary numbers.

NBC took first place in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic with a 2.4 rating/7 share and was third in total viewers with 6.9 million. "The Voice" at 8 p.m. dipped 7 percent from last week, but still scored the night's top ratings with a 4.2/13 and had 12.6 million total viewers. The new series "Ready for Love" premiered the following hour to a 1.6/4 and drew 3.8 million total viewers. Despite the low rating, it was even with last spring's premiere of "Fashion Star," and the network's highest rating in the time slot since Jan. 15, excluding the State of the Union address.

CBS came in second in ratings and first in total viewers with a 2.2/6 and 12.8 million. "NCIS" at 8 slid 19 percent to a season low of 2.6/8, but grabbed the night's largest audience with 16.7 million. "NCIS: LA" the following hour posted a 2.6/7, tying its season low, and had 13.9 million total viewers. The freshman drama "Golden Boy" at 10 climbed 15 percent from last week for a 1.5/4 and drew 7.9 million total viewers.

Fox grabbed third in ratings and fourth in total viewers with a 1.8/5 and 4 million. "Hell's Kitchen" at 8 dropped 10 percent to a 1.8/6 and had 4.4 million total viewers, while "New Girl" at 9 ran even with last week for a 2.2/6 and drew 4.2 million total viewers. "The Mindy Project" at 9:30 jumped 15 percent from last week for a 1.5/4 and took 2.8 million total viewers.

Univision came in fourth in ratings and fifth in total viewers with a 1.6/5 and 3.9 million.

ABC took fifth place in ratings and second in total viewers with a 1.5/4 and 8.7 million. The new celebrity diving competition "Splash" continued to decline, dropping 14 percent to a 1.2/4 with 5.2 million total viewers, while "Dancing With the Stars" the following hour slid 17 percent to a 1.9/5 — a season low for results shows — and had 11.8 million total viewers. "Body of Proof" at 10 ran even with last week for a 1.4/4 and had 9 million total viewers.
