Ratings: ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Wins Repeat-Heavy Night for Fox

CBS' "Dogs in the City" climbs 22 percent in key demo

With a distinct lack of competition in the way of original programming, "So You Think You Can Dance" pushed Fox to a handy overall win Wednesday night, according to preliminary numbers.

Airing "So You Think You Can Dance" throughout primetime, Fox took first place in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic with a 2.4/8 rating and in total viewers with 6.5 million. That represents a 4 percent dip in the demo from last week, but it was enough to overshadow the other networks, which mostly ran repeats, by a wide margin.

CBS took second place in ratings and total viewers with a 1.3/4 and 5.6 million. Aside from "Dogs in the City" at 8, which jumped 22 percent in the demo from last week with a 1.1/4 and took 5.6 million total viewers, the network ran repeats.

Univision took third place in the ratings and fifth in total viewers with a 1.2/4 and 3.1 million.

ABC came in fourth in ratings and third in total viewers with an average 1.1/4 and 3.8 million. Like CBS, the networks was mostly in rerun mode, save for "Duets" at 9:30, which was flat with last week for a 1.2/3. It drew 3.9 million total viewers.

Running only repeats, NBC drew fifth place in ratings and fourth in total viewers with a average 1.0/3 and 3.4 million.
