Ratings: ‘The Voice’ Inches Up as NBC Takes Night

ABC most-watched with steady "Dancing With the Stars" and "Castle"

NBC's "The Voice" grew marginally over last week to score NBC a ratings win, while ABC's steady "Dancing With the Stars" made the network the most-watched, according to preliminary numbers.

NBC grabbed first place in ratings with a 4.2 rating/11 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demo and second in total viewers with 11.1 million. "The Voice" at 8 p.m. inched up from last week for a 4.7/12, taking the night's best numbers in the demo, and grabbed 12.6 million total viewers. The new J.J. Abrams drama "Revolution" at 10 posted a 3.1/8 and drew 8.2 million total viewers.

CBS took second place in ratings with a 2.8/7 and third in total viewers with 8.7 million. Most of its primetime roster grew modestly, with the exception of "How I Met Your Mother" at 8, which dipped slightly for a 3.2/9 and took 8.1 million total viewers. The new offering "Partners" at 8:30 received a 2.2/6 and drew 6.3 million total viewers, while "2 Broke Girls" at 9 posted a 3.7/9 and attracted 10.1 million total viewers. "Mike and Molly" at 9:30 had a 3.1/7 and grabbed 9.4 million total viewers, and "Hawaii 5-0" at 10 earned a 2.2/6 and 9 million total viewers.

ABC came in third in ratings and first in total viewers with a 2.2/5 and 12.4 million. "Dancing With the Stars" at 8 remained steady with last week for a 2.1/5 and scored the night's largest audience, 13.3 million. "Castle" at 10 grew 16 percent to a 2.2/6 and had 10.6 million total viewers.

Fox drew fourth in ratings and total viewers with a 1.4/4 and 5.3 million. "Bones" at 8 was steady with a 2.0/5 and scored 7 million total viewers. The doomed-looking drama "The Mob Doctor" — which got off to a rough start with its premiere last month — dipped slightly from last week to a 0.9/2. It had 3.5 million total viewers.
