‘Ray Donovan’ Star Vinessa Shaw Teases ‘Huge’ Season Finale, Death Is Imminent (Video)

The actress also explains how Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker Amy Berg influenced her character during new episode of TheWrap’s “Drinking With the Stars”

“Ray Donovan” star Vinessa Shaw warned something “huge” will happen in the Showtime drama’s Season 2 finale in September during the newest episode of TheWrap‘s “Drinking with the Stars.”

“As per last season, ‘Ray Donovan’ is really good at making something huge happen by the end of the season, and this is exactly what is going to happen,” Shaw said during the interview (above). “The unexpected is going to happen, and people are going to have…something happen to them.”

In other words, death is imminent.

Shaw plays a Pulitzer Prize-winning Boston Globe journalist trying to uncover crimes the Donovan family has committed, while also bedding the titular character, played by Liev Schreiber.

To research the role, Shaw said she turned to documentarian Amy Berg, who directed Oscar-nominated priest molestation film “Deliver Us From Evil.”

“From knowing how she is, I was able to glean a lot about what a reporter’s like,” Shaw said.

Shaw said she was an instant fan of the series after watching one episode, and binge watched the first season upon being cast in the second, but she did have a bone to pick with it.
