TV One’s ‘R&B Divas LA: Reunion’ Scores Record Ratings

The Wendy Williams-hosted first episode of a two-part series tied the cable channel’s previous high

TV One tied its network ratings high Wednesday with “R&B Divas LA: Reunion Part 1,” hosted by Wendy Williams.

The telecast drew a .83 rating in TV One’s target audience of adults 25 to 54, according to the network. It matches the debut episode of “The Rickey Smiley Show” as the network’s No. 1 telecast ever in the demo.

“We’re excited to see TV One viewers continue to support and enjoy the journey of our R&B Divas,” remarked Alfred Liggins, chairman and chief executive officer, TV One. “After a summer of record-breaking ratings, it is particularly rewarding to see the reunion special build on our momentum during such a competitive programming season.”

A total of 834,000 viewers watched Part 1’s premiere and encore airings. It was the top cable telecast among Black adults 25 to 54, as well as 18+.

Part 2 of the special airs next Wednesday at 10.
