Robert Reagan allegedly used a knife to kill the Sundance TV lawyer in her home
Updated at 5.10 p.m. PT: Robert Reagan’s attorney, Shepard Kopp, told the LA Times that he acted in self-defense after Loredana Nesci attacked him with a hunting knife during a domestic dispute. “While defending himself against her assault with a deadly weapon, Robert tried to disarm her, and in the intense struggle that ensued she tragically suffered a fatal wound,” the lawyer said. “Robert is not guilty of committing any criminal offense.”
The boyfriend of reality TV lawyer Loredana Nesci was charged with her murder on Friday.
Robert Brian Reagan allegedly used a knife to kill the star of Sundance TV’s “Loredana, Esq.,” who was found dead in her home in Redondo Beach, California, on Wednesday.
Reagan, 51, allegedly murdered 47-year-old Nesci “during a domestic dispute” at the home they shared, the prosecutor said, according to KTLA.
Nesci’s body was discovered at the residence after suffering an apparent stab wound and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her boyfriend had placed a distraught call to the police that morning, and was arrested after officers arrived.
Reagan’s arraignment was postponed to Aug. 20 in Torrance, California, and he is being held on $1.02 million bail. Reagan faces up to 26 years to life in state prison, if convicted as charged.
Nesci was the namesake star of the reality series “Loredana, Esq.,” which first aired on Sundance TV in March 2014.
The series from Go Go Luckey Productions followed the former LAPD officer-turned-criminal defense attorney dubbed “the Legal Diva” as she cultivated a thriving law practice defending regular people.
