Daniel Holden may be a free man of sorts, but his legal case continues.
In this exclusive clip from Wednesday’s episode of “Rectify” (above), Sheriff Doggett (J.D. Evermore) calls Jon Stern (Luke Kirby) over under mysterious circumstances, then pointedly refuses to discuss why only seven out of 20 kids were questioned the day after the murder of Daniel’s (Aden Young) high school girlfriend, Hannah.
But it turns out, the sheriff, who has always had conflicted feelings about whether Daniel really committed the murder, may have had another change of heart, as he pointedly leaves the room — for about 30 minutes, by his estimation — and leaving Jon with some reading material: a file folder buried under some old magazines.
Is it new information that could exonerate Daniel once and for all? Or just more questions?
