Reese Witherspoon Cancels ‘GMA,’ Jimmy Fallon Appearances Following Arrest

Despite releasing an apology and putting on a smile for photographers during Sunday's "Mud" premiere, the Oscar winner is apparently not ready to talk about her disorderly conduct arrest

Reese Witherspoon has canceled two television appearances in the wake of her disorderly conduct arrest. The incident occured last Friday morning when her husband, CAA agent Jim Toth, was being arrested for driving under the influence.

An individual with knowledge of the situation confirms to the TheWrap that Witherspoon canceled an interview with Jimmy Fallon scheduled for Tuesday's "Late Night," where she would have been promoting her newest movie, "Mud," an indie drama starring Matthew McConaughey.

The Washington Post also reports that the actress, who said in a statement she was "deeply embarassed" about the legal ordeal, bailed on taping a "Good Morning America" appearance on Monday that was set to air Wednesday.

She may be dodging the limelight now, but the 37-year-old mother of three went into damage control mode this weekend following the unflattering incident. After releasing a statement on Sunday, a black shift dress-clad Witherspoon put on a smile to attend the premiere for "Mud" in New York.

She did not, however, talk to the press while walking the red carpet.

ABC has not yet responded to TheWrap's request for comment.
