Reese Witherspoon is experiencing the whole gamut of emotions in “Home Again,” a romantic comedy that revolves around recently-separated Alice, who decides to move back to her hometown of Los Angeles after detaching herself from her marriage.
In the first teaser for the film, the “Big Little Lies” star is seen bawling in front of a mirror. From there we see her avoiding her estranged ex (Michael Sheen) and hooking up with a much younger man — perhaps even two?
Alice’s 40th birthday brings the opportunity to house three young filmmakers on her property, which causes all sorts of sexy hijinks — until her hubby arrives.
“‘Home Again’ is a story of love, friendship, and the families we create,” the teaser announcement touts. “And one very big life lesson: Starting over is not for beginners.”
Pico Alexander, Nat Wolff, Jon Rudnitsky, Candice Bergen and Lake Bell also star in the film from writer and director Hallie Meyers-Shyer in her directorial debut. Nancy Meyers (“The Holiday,” “The Intern,” “Something’s Gotta Give”) produced.
