Reese Witherspoon is in talks for the lead role in “Home Again,” directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer, an individual with knowledge of the deal told TheWrap.
Academy Award nominee Nancy Meyers, Meyers-Shyer’s mother, is producing with Black Bicycle Entertainment’s Erika Olde.
“Home Again” follows the life of a single mother in Los Angeles after she allows three young men to move into her house. Though a distributor or financier has not yet been set, production is likely to begin this fall.
Rose Byrne had previously been in negotiations to star in the film, which was supposed to begin shooting this August.
CAA represents Witherspoon, Meyer, and Olde. The agency also has domestic distribution rights for the project.
