Regal Entertainment Group will install nine additional IMAX locations in the United States, the company announced on Thursday.
The new screens will be built through a joint revenue sharing arrangement with IMAX.
IMAX and Regal did not announce where the new theaters will be located.
The construction of the new theaters will fulfill a joint venture agreement that the two companies inked in October 2010.
The nine new locations will bring the total number of Regal’s IMAX theatres to 77.
