Relativity Hires Stacey Mooradian as Executive VP of Publicity

The former Lionsgate and Miramax exec will report directly to Relativity's Terry Curtin

Former Lionsgate executive Stacey Mooradian has been named executive vice president of publicity at Relativity Media, where she will report directly to Terry Curtin, the company's president of theatrical marketing.

At Relativity, Mooradian will be responsible for crafting innovative publicity campaigns, encompassing national and field publicity, for the studio’s growing film slate.

“Stacey is a highly-respected executive who has incredible experience across a wide range of genres,” said Curtin. “We’re fortunate to have her creative leadership and innovative spirit as we head towards a number of high-profile releases.”

Looking forward, Relativity will release the corporate espionage thriller "Paranoia" on Aug. 16, Luc Besson‘s comedic action film "The Family (f.k.a. "Malavita") on Sept. 20, Scott Cooper‘s gritty drama "Out of the Furnace" on Oct. 4, Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s daring directorial debut "Don Jon" on Oct. 18 and ReelFX’s animated buddy comedy "Free Birds" on Nov. 1.

Prior to joining Relativity, Mooradian was a communications consultant. She served as executive VP of theatrical publicity for Lionsgate, where she worked on such films as "The Expendables," "Precious," "The Lincoln Lawyer" and the "Saw" franchise. She also served as VP of national publicity for Miramax, where she worked on "Chicago" and the "Kill Bill" films, among others.

Mooradian, who began her career in publicity at MPRM, is a member of the SAG Foundation Board and Women in Film. Her hire comes on the heels of Friday's news that Relativity has hired David Shane as executive VP of corporate communications.
