Report: ‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Found Dead

Julien Hug’s body was discovered in the Pinyon Pines area of California

"Bachelorette" contestant Julien Hug has been found dead in a remote area near Pinyon Pines, Calif., according to various reports.

A spokesperson for the Riverside County sheriff's office did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment.

Hug's father, Bertrand Hug, confirmed to the Associated Press that his 35-year old son had died.

The body was reportedly discovered on Wednesday morning in an area off of State Route 74. The police are still investigating the cause of death.

Hug appeared on the popular ABC reality show in 2009. A San Diego restaurateur , Hug was eliminated in that season's second episode.

"It’s very difficult to find the words to express my condolences, but I will always remember Julien’s gentle demeanor and kind heart, which will be sadly missed," Jillian Harris, the star of show's season, told TMZ.
