New ‘Resident Evil’ Trailer: Milla Jovovich Battles the Undead to Guns N’ Roses (Video)

Sixth and final installment in the movie series opens next January

Alice is returning to Raccoon City.

Set to Guns N’ Roses’ “Paradise City,” the trailer for the sixth installment of the “Resident Evil” franchise, “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter,” sees Alice (Milla Jovovich) coming back to the deadly city as one of the remaining survivors of the apocalypse.

Faced with opposition by the Umbrella Corporation, which is preparing to eradicate all remaining survivors, Alice must team up with old friends in order to fight back and stay alive against an army of undead and mutant monsters.

The heroine can also be seen confronting the traitor Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts), who says he should have killed her in Washington, D.C.

“Yeah, big mistake,” Alice responds.

Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and based on the hit Capcom video game series, the film is set to debut in theaters on Jan. 27, 2017. It will also star Ali Larter, William Levy, Ruby Rose and Iain Glen. It is the sequel to 2012’s “Resident Evil: Retribution.”

Back in December, a 34-year-old crew member working on the film was crushed to death under a U.S. Army Hummer. In addition, stuntwoman Olivia Jackson had to amputate her arm after crashing into a metal camera arm on set while filming a motorcycle chase scene.
