Rihanna‘s back-up dancer, Shirlene Quigley, has been found alive and safe, the North Bergen Police Department wrote on its Facebook Page Tuesday.
“She is safe and at a medical facility which location is undisclosed at this time. North Bergen Police Detectives have contacted her father and he is in route from Los Angeles to reunite with his daughter,” the post read.
On Monday, Rihanna issued an emotional plea for help in finding Quigley, who has been missing since early Sunday morning.
Quigley, 32, who has also performed with Beyonce, Missy Elliott and Jamie Foxx, according to People.com, had not been seen since boarding a bus at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City around 1 a.m. ET on Sunday.
The police were alerted to her disappearance by her father, NBC New York reported. The concerned parent, who lives in California, said she always called him at 6 p.m. each evening and he got worried when she didn’t get in touch on Sunday.
Quigley’s cellphone was found in a bridal store in the Chelsea area of New York City, but her dad said she could have been there picking up clothes for a show.
However, he said she recently made a strange comment to a friend, saying: “Get ready, it’s about to happen and I’m going to need you to sub for me.”
