“Grudge Match” isn’t the only movie that riffs off of the 70-year-old actor’s “Raging Bull” performance
Mess with the aging bachelor party starring in “Last Vegas,” and you’re going to get the horns from “Raging Bull” star Robert De Niro.
The actor — who stars with Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline in the upcoming PG-13 CBS Films’ release — knocks out a young punk in the latest trailer for the comedy about a group of old friends who travel to sin city to celebrate their last single buddy’s plunge into marriage.
This won’t be the only movie De Niro is starring in this year that references his Oscar-winning turn as troubled boxer Jake LaMotta. He’ll be going toe-to-toe with Sylvester Stallone (“Rocky”) in boxing comedy “Grudge Match,” which lands in theaters on Christmas Day.
Mary Steenburgen (“Step Brothers”) co-stars in “Last Vegas” as an attractive woman the gang of geriatrics meet while partying in Vegas. And judging by this preview, she may be a temptation for the Bachelor (Douglas), who is about to marry a young woman that Freeman describes as “an infant.”
“Last Vegas” debuts in theaters on Nov. 1.
