Robert Sheehan, Dev Patel and Zoe Kravitz to Star in Gren Wells’ Directorial Debut

"The Road Within" begins shooting in July

Robert Sheehan, Dev Patel and Zoe Kravitz will star in “The Road Within,” the directorial debut of actress and screenwriter Gren Wells. Wells, who previously wrote “A Little Bit of Heaven,” wrote the script, an adaption of the award-winning German film “Vincent Will Meer.”

Sheehan, a star of this summer’s “The Mortal Instruments: The City of Bones,” will play Vincent, a young man suffering from Tourette Syndrome who ends up in a clinic after his mother dies and his father chooses to run for office. Vincent then falls for another woman in the facility, Marie (Kravitz).

Marie and Vincent steal a doctor’s car, and then kidnap Vincent’s roommate Alex (Patel) after he catches them. The three of them go on a road trip.

Guy J. Louthan, Brent Emery and Troika Pictures’ Bradley Gallo, Robert L. Stein and Michael Helfant will produce the film, which begins shooting July 1 in Los Angeles.

Panorama was shopping the movie at Cannes.
