Roger Ebert‘s funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Chicago, in a church not far from the Sun-Times newspaper where he worked as a film critic for more than 45 years.
The service for Pulitzer Prize-winning author and critic will be held at Holy Name Cathedral on State Street and will be open to friends and fans, though seating will be limited.

A memorial tribute is planned for Thursday, according to a news release from his family, but further details were not available.
Ebert died on Thursday at the age of 70. His death came just two days after he publicly announced that his cancer had returned and that he would be taking “a leave of presence.”

In lieu of flowers, well-wishers may send donations to The Ebert Foundation, c/o Northern Trust at 50 S. LaSalle Street, Chicago.
