Looking to freshen up on Roman Polanski's lurid sex life? Here's a title to put on your reading list.
Samantha Geimer, the woman who "Rosemary's Baby" director was convicted of having sexual intercourse with when she was a teen, is publishing a memoir about the experience, and her efforts to reclaim her identity after being defined by the scandal.

The memoir, which bears the not-at-all-creepy title "The Girl: Emerging From the Shadow of Roman Polanski," will be published by Simon & Schuster imprint Atria Books next fall.
"I am more than 'Sex Victim Girl,' a tag the media pinned on me," Geimer, now 47, said in a statement announcing the memoir. "My friends in junior high, scolded by their parents to stay away from that girl, also labeled me. I offer my story now without rage, but with purpose — to share a tale that in its detail will reclaim my identity. I have been dogged by tired thinking and easy tags nearly my entire life. I am not a stick figure. I know what it is like to be a woman and a victim in the realest possible way."

Polanski was indicted on numerous felony counts, including rape by use of drugs, for allegedly giving a then-13-year-old Geimer alcohol and part of a Quaalude before having sex with her during a 1977 photo session at actor Jack Nicholson's house in Los Angeles. Polanski pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse and was sentenced to a 90-day psychiatric evaluation in prison. Released after 42 days, the director fled the country after reportedly learning that he could face further imprisonment and deportation.
Geimer sued Polanski, but later pleaded for sympathy on his behalf, asking for the case against him to be dropped. Her petition to the California Second District Court of Appeal was denied in 2010.
Though exiled from Hollywood, Polanski has nonetheless continued to direct, including the upcoming adaptation of the Broadway play "Venus in Fur," which will star his wife, Emmanuelle Seigner.
