Ronda Rousey fulfilled her promise to attend the annual Marine Corps. Ball on Friday night.

Rousey attended the event with Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert, whose online request to attend the event with the MMA fighter went viral.

“Thank you Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert for taking me to the Marine Corps Ball, being such a gentleman, and putting a smile on my face again,” Rousey wrote on Instagram.

Haschert posted a video tribute to Rousey back in August, telling her how much it would mean to him to attend the event with her. “You are my celebrity crush, like, I love everything you do and I think that you are a phenomenal person, which is why it would be my honor to take you to the Marine Corps Ball on December 11th,” he said in the video.

“I really hope this doesn’t get in the way of your training for your fight in January, but I hope you take this in consideration, because if you do, you will truly be making my dream come true,” he continued.

Rousey was the UFC women’s bantamweight champion until she suffered her first ever loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November. She has also appeared in several movies and TV shows, including playing herself in the “Entourage” movie. She is set to star in the remake of “Road House.”
