Royal Family Joins Twitter

Buckingham Palace joins social networking revolution.

Britain’s royal family has joined Twitter.

The Associated Press reports that Buckingham Palace has set up a Twitter account to alert royal watchers to what’s happening with the family.

But that won’t result in any tweets from Queen Elizabeth II or Prince Charles. A palace spokeswoman says the account won’t be used to air personal opinions.

The Buckingham Palace’s website launched in 1997. The Queen also has her own YouTube channel.
