Ryan Gosling to ‘Logan’s Run,’ Dominic Cooper biting into ‘Vampire Hunter’

Warner Bros. is beginning talks with director Nicolas Winding Refn to direct ‘Logan’s Run’

Ryan Gosling and Warner Bros. are close to an agreement for the "Blue Valentine" actor to star in a remake of "Logan's Run," TheWrap has confirmed.

Akiva Goldsman, Andrew Rona and Joel Silver are producing the film, about a young man who tries to escape the mandatory death sentence his society imposes on everyone when they turn 30.

Negotiations have recently begun to have Nicolas Winding Refn, who directed Gosling in "Drive," join the movie.

Across town at Fox, negotiations are under way for Dominic Cooper ("Mamma Mia!") and Anthony Mackie ("The Hurt Locker") to join the cast of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."

Ben Walker will play the nation's 16th president, but in this tale, Honest Abe slays vampires in addition to running the nation during the Civil War.
