Ryan Reynolds kept smashing the fourth wall for his appearance in the Honest Trailer for “Deadpool.”
Before Reynolds he shows up, however, the narrator points out the fact that “Deadpool” has grossed more at the box office than a wide range of Marvel movies and all of the X-Men films.
Reynolds goes on to point out that Deadpool is willing to do anything to get his fiancée back, “except talk to her, which would have been way too easy, causing the movie to end in like 20 minutes.”
Reynolds appeared in Screen Junkies’ popular web series to promote the DVD release of the film, which has already beaten a record in Digital HD sales, clearing one million units faster than any other superhero title.
In fact, it sold 1 million units in its first week, and holds the record as Fox’s best performing Digital HD title ever. In comparison, “The Martian” hit the 1 million unit mark in three weeks over Christmas, a record at the time.
