Mia Wasikowska will reprise her role in the James Bobin-directed sequel, which Disney will release on May 27, 2016
There's a “Sweeney Todd” reunion on the horizon, as Sacha Baron Cohen is in early talks to join Johnny Depp in Disney's “Alice in Wonderland” sequel “Through the Looking Glass,” an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap.
Disney's “Muppets” filmmaker James Bobin is directing the sequel, which will see Mia Wasikowska reprise her role as Alice.
An individual familiar with the casting breakdown for the project tells TheWrap that Baron Cohen will play a villain named Time.
Disney will release the sequel on May 27, 2016.
Baron Cohen is attached to star in Louis Leterrier's action-comedy “Grimsby,” which is expected to go into production before the end of the year. He's also developing Paramount's “The Lesbian” as a star vehicle for himself. The British comedian, who was last seen in “Les Miserables,” is represented by WME.
