The cast of "Modern Family" took home a SAG Award in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series on Sunday night, beating out a field that also saw the casts of "30 Rock," "Glee," "The Office" and others up for a trophy.
Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara and the gang from ABC's "Modern Family" took top honors in this category last year, after being nominated in 2010. This year the series also scored nominations for Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell and Eric Stonestreet for their individual performances.

NBC's "30 Rock" has previously scored eight SAG Awards during its run, including wins in this category in 2009. Series stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin have scored multiple SAG wins for their portrayals of Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy, respectively.
The "Glee" cast took a win in this category in 2010, and was nominated last year, which also saw series stars Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch nominated for SAG Awards for their work on the Fox series.
This was the maiden SAG Award nomination for the CBS comedy "The Big Bang Theory," though series star Jim Parsons — who plays mega-nerd Sheldon Cooper on the series — proved last year that the geek will indeed inherit the earth by scoring an Emmy — his second in as many years. He's also nabbed a Golden Globe for his portrayal.
The paper-shillers of NBC's "The Office" have twice won a SAG in this category, in 2006 and 2007.
