Samantha Bee Shoots Down ‘Feminist’ Ivanka Trump (Video)

“Meeting with Leo DiCaprio is not a sign that you care about climate change, it’s a sign you were a teenager in the ’90s,” comedian says

A lot of people hope that Ivanka Trump will make some positive change in the White House — Samantha Bee’s not buying it.

In a segment on “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee,” titled “The Greatest Feminists in Feminism Herstory Hall of Lady Fame,” Bee highlights the First Daughter and her accomplishments since her dad got elected to the highest office in the country.

According to Bee, she hasn’t accomplished as much as some think.

For example, Ivanka was praised for setting up a meeting between her father and former Vice President Al Gore to discuss climate change. She also met with actor Leonardo DiCaprio — who is an environmental advocate — on the subject.

But Bee shoots it down.

“Meeting with Leo DiCaprio is not a sign that you care about climate change, it’s a sign you were a teenager in the ’90s,” she said. “She’s not gonna convince her dad climate change isn’t a Chinese hoax. Anyone with a dad knows they have invisible old-man-opinion strength.”

Bee also points out while people credit Ivanka with stopping an initial executive order that would’ve attacked LGBTQ rights, that shouldn’t be considered an accomplishment.

“At most, Ivanka has stopped one out of 24 appalling executive orders.”

Bee portrays Ivanka as loyal to her father above all else, noting how she took the blame for a deal to build a tower in Azerbaijan that may have been a money laundering scheme to funnel money by people who support terrorism.

According to Bee, Ivanka isn’t the feminist that Democrats and others hope can bring about change in the White House.

“Look, I get it, people are comforted by the thought of a progressive feminist in the White House, to which I say, if you wanted that, you should have voted for it,” Bee exclaims, displaying a photo of Hillary Clinton.
