Corbett, of Montrose, Calif., allegedly climbed a fence and broke into the actress’ residence at approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday. He was arrested at the scene after police responded to a 911 call made from inside the house. Bullock was home at the time of the incident, authorities said.

The Los Angeles Police Department originally described Corbett as a  “hot prowler” suspect, meaning he was allegedly trespassing but did not make entry into the residence. But he was later booked for burglary, after more information emerged during the course of the investigation, the LAPD said.

Corbett was not in possession of the machine gun at the time of the alleged break-in, the district attorney’s office said, although they did not give specifics as to where the gun was found. The case is still under investigation by the LAPD.
