UPDATE: The Los Angeles Police Department says Joshua Corbett of Glendale, Calif., has been booked for residential burglary in the case.
Sandra Bullock‘s home was broken into early Sunday morning, according to media reports.
A man described as a “hot prowler suspect” was taken into custody after police received a call around 6:30 a.m. in West Los Angeles, Officer Nuria Vanegas of the Los Angeles Police Department told TheWrap.
Vanegas would not confirm if the house belonged to the Oscar-winning actress, but the officer did say someone was inside the home at the time of the incident.
The LAPD initially used the term “hot prowler” to describe the suspect, meaning he was allegedly trespassing, but did not make entry into the residence.
A man was in the yard was “checking out the house” when police arrived, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Officer Vanegas later identified the suspect to TheWrap as Joshua Corbett, 39, of Glendale, Calif.
Police said they booked Corbett for burglary, after more information emerged during the course of their investigation.
The incident happened just hours after Bullock picked up the “Decade of Hotness” award at Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice Awards Saturday at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Calif.
