Sarah Jessica Parker has cut her ties with EpiPen manufacturer Mylan, following widespread recent outrage over steep price hikes for the emergency allergy treatment.

In a scathing Instagram post on Thursday, “Sex and the City” alum Parker said that she was “disappointed, saddened and deeply concerned by Mylan’s actions.”

The actress previously teamed with Mylan to raise awareness for the allergic reaction anaphylaxis.

“I do not condone this decision and I have ended my relationship with Mylan as a direct result of it,” she continued. “I hope they will seriously consider the outpouring of voices of those millions of people who are dependent on the device, and take swift action to lower the cost to be more affordable for whom it is a life-saving necessity.”

Parker noted that epinephrine auto-injectors such as the EpiPen are “vital” to her family’s healthcare, as her son suffers from a “life-threatening peanut allergy.”

Mylan has come under heavy fire of late, following reports that the cost of an EpiPen two-pack has increased dramatically in the past several years, from approximately $100 in 2007 to six times that amount currently.
