One Alaskan television watcher sounds positively ecstatic to see the back of Katie Couric.
On Fox News, former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who famously flashed her best caribou-in-headlights stare during a 2008 interview with the outgoing CBS News anchor, mockingly wished Couric good luck with her next gig.
"I hear that she wants to now engage in more 'multi-dimensional story telling' versus I guess just the straight on, read into the, that teleprompter screen story telling," Palin told Fox News' Greta Van Susteren on Tuesday night.

Palin, who is a Fox News contributor, previously accused Couric of playing "gotcha" journalism after she haltingly answered questions about the bailouts and foreign policy in a series of sit downs on CBS.
The interviews were widely seen as a disaster for the McCain-Palin ticket, making the Alaska governor appear ill-prepared for the national spotlight and inspiring a savage "Saturday Night Live" parody.
Most damningly, Palin stumbled over Couric's questions about what newspapers and magazines she read — something she referenced in bidding the newscaster a caustic adieu.
"I think I read that in a newspaper. One of many newspapers that I read online," Palin said.
On Tuesday, Couric announced her exit from "CBS Evening News" after five years behind the anchor desk. TheWrap has previously reported that several networks, including NBC, ABC and CNN, have expressed interest in Couric. She could also stay at CBS in a deal that could include the talk show or appearances on "60 Minutes."
Wherever she lands, Palin probably won't be watching.
