Bill Hader is returning to TV, correction, HBO.
The “Saturday Night Live” alum has entered into a deal with the premium cable channel to develop and star in a comedy series, a network representative told TheWrap.
Hader wrapped his eight-season stint as a regular castmember and writer on NBC’s “SNL” last year. He has returned to the show a couple times, including last weekend’s episode hosted by “Brooklyn-Nine-Nine” star and fellow alum Andy Samberg.
He has also appeared on Fox’s “The Mindy Project” and Larry David‘s “Clear History” on HBO. Hader voiced the Mickey character on “Bob’s Burgers” since departing from “SNL,” as well.
Hader is currently in production on the movie “Trainwreck” and will next be seen in the film “The Skeleton Twins.”
UTA and Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment represent Hader.
