Like the “Hot in Cleveland” star, the recently single “Iron Man 2” beauty has passed up an invitation to the Greenville, N.C., soiree, extended by a friendly (and extremely optimistic) man in uniform. Both cited previous commitments.
Johansson told Zap2It that she’s been forced to pass up the YouTube offer from Sgt. Dustin Williams, who’s stationed at a Marine base in Albany, Ga. — but she’s “incredibly honored” by the invite.

The good news for the jilted jarhead? ScarJo is sending a bunch of bubbly in her place.
“In my absence, I raise a glass to you and all the men and women of the U.S. Marine Corps, past and present, in thanks for your continued commitment to preserving the safety of our nation,” she relayed to the Marine via the press.
At least the poor guy will be able to drown his sorrows.
