‘Scorpion’ EP Scooter Braun Talks Geniuses, Creative Motto: ‘What Cool Sh-t Can We Do Today? (Video)

“I’m really humbled to be part of such a great group of people,” Braun tells TheWrap. “And humbled that a story we found in my living room has now come to life on TV”

In the music world, Scooter Braun is known for bringing pop acts such as Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen into prominence.

For the upcoming CBS drama “Scorpion,” Braun is working with a very different caliber of talent: A bunch of nerdy brainiacs on a mission to save the world.

The series, which premieres Sept. 22, is based on real-life computer expert/hacker Walter O’Brien and revolves around a group of super-geniuses who band together with the government to solve pressing crises.

TheWrap caught up with Braun at the PaleyFest screening of the series on Sunday to talk to him about his new project.

Braun said, “I’m really excited, because the show speaks for itself, and it’s based on a true story. The real Walter O’Brien is right over there. This is a guy who has a higher IQ than everyone. Sometimes I speak to him and have no idea what he’s talking about, but I know I’m getting smarter.”

Added Braun, “At my company I just want to wake up in the morning and say, ‘What cool shit can we do today?… And there are no boundaries’ … I’m really humbled to be part of such a great group of people, and humbled that a story we found in my living room has now come to life on TV. So, pretty privileged.”
