Season 4 champ of Spike reality show passed away in October at age 41

“Ink Master” winner Scott Marshall died from a heroin overdose, the Dupage County Medical Examiner & Coroner’s office told TheWrap on Monday.

Marshall had passed away in late October. He was 41.

The tattoo artist beat out Walter “Sausage” Frank and Matti Hixson for the $100,000 Season 4 grand prize. He was also featured in Inked magazine.

Marshall’s wife Johanna had previously told TMZ that he spent Saturday night in a hotel near his studio after calling to say he wasn’t feeling well enough to drive home. Two police officers came to her home Sunday to inform her that her husband died in his sleep.
