‘Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse’ Reveals First 5 Clips (Video)

Gross-out footage from Tye Sheridan, Patrick Schwarzenegger film sees wilderness boys face the undead

Paramount has unleashed five clips from “Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse,” the Tye Sheridan horror adventure that sees a group of aging scouts face a plague of the undead.

In five new clips we see Sheridan earn survival badges and face the creatures in multiple gross scenarios, with the assistance of Joey Morgan and “The Stanford Prison Experiment’s” Logan Miller.

Directed by Chris Landon, writer and director on the “Paranormal Activity” franchise and scribe of the twisted 2010 “Burning Palms,” “Scouts” promises action, gore and plenty of low-brow jokes that millennials will adore. Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Dumont, Halston Sage, Cloris Leachman and David Koechner round out the cast.

Sheridan has an affinity for the apocalyptic, given this project and his role as young Cyclops in the forthcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

The zombie flick made news this week with the announcement that Paramount will use it in an experiment with home viewing windows, making “Scouts” available on VOD platforms just 17 days after opening in theaters.

“Scouts,” written by Carrie Evans, Emi Mochizuki and Landon, hits theaters on Oct. 30.
