Scrat and Spidey went at it overseas this weekend and the scrappy animated critter and his "Ice Age: Continental Drift" pals won the battle.
The fourth entry in the franchise, from Fox and Blue Sky Studios, earned $95 million from 14,131 screens in 64 overseas markets to reclaim the No. 1 spot from the wall-crawler. The overall foreign gross for "Continental Drift" after three weeks is $339 million.
"Ice Age: Continental Drift" was No. 1 in 30 of the 37 markets in which it played. Russia provided the biggest haul with $16.4 million from 2,090 screens. It also took in $12.3 million from Germany and $9.1 from the U.K.

"The Amazing Spider-Man" spun another $66 million overseas this weekend, upping its foreign gross to $320.5 million and pushing the worldwide total for Sony's Spidey franchise past the $3 billion mark.
Sony's franchise reboot's worldwide gross now stands at $521.4 million.
Universal's "Ted" is No. 1 in all four markets in which it is playing.
Seth MacFarlane's tawdry teddy tale kept its No. 1 ranking in Australia and, a week after setting the mark for Universal's best-ever bow Down Under, posted the studio's best-ever second week there with $6.9 million. That's just a 22 percent drop and raises the "Ted" gross in Australia to $24.5 million.
"Ted" held its top ranking in Taiwan with $1.2 million, and posted No. 1 bows in New Zealand ($1.5 million) and Iceland ($67,000).
The R-rated comedy has made $31.3 million overseas so far, with 52 markets to come. Next weekend, it opens in Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Portugal and Romania. It will bow in Germany and Russia on August 2, and in Austria and the U.K. on August 3.
