Seth Meyers Gives Tour of New ‘Late Night’ Studio in First Promo (Video)

It’s just a short walk from his “SNL” studio to his new one, but one that’s filled with dancing girls and at least one llama

Seth Meyers took all of 35 seconds to walk from his “Saturday Night Live” Weekend Update desk to his new “Late Night” studio — and he took fans along for the behind-the-scenes stroll.

The first promo for “Late Night With Seth Meyers” is entitled “Seth’s Studio Tour,” though there was not a heck of a lot to see when the host and his camera crew reached Meyers’ new digs. In the clip, the comedian walks and talks from “SNL’s” Studio 8H to his new home in Studio 8G, which is all of 30 feet away. Upon arrival, Meyers gets a rude awakening regarding the state of construction on his new home.

Meyers’ Weekend Update co-anchor — and likely successor — Cecily Strong ditches him in the beginning of the clip, just before “SNL” castmate Kenan Thompson calls dibs on the now-vacant former head writer’s “SNL” dressing room.

New studio 8G still has much work to be done, but Meyers is the hands-on type, calling to check on the status of his new desk as the promo concludes.

“Late Night With Seth Meyers” premieres on Feb. 24. The “SNL” alum takes over for Jimmy Fallon, who shifts to “The Tonight Show.”
